Privacy without the corporate fog
We host your email, not an advertising profile. Here is what information the service needs, why it is used, and where the limits are.
What we collect
To provide the service, we process account and contact details, billing information, mailbox contents, message headers, and technical records needed for mail delivery, troubleshooting, security, and abuse prevention. Registration also requires identity and citizenship verification as described in our Terms.
Government-issued ID images are sensitive. Submit them only through our designated secure verification process, never through ordinary support email. We destroy all ID verification pictures after verification is complete. We do not keep a photo-ID image on file after completing verification.
What happens to your messages
We process and store email so you can send, receive, and retrieve it. Automated security and spam controls may inspect message data to protect the service. We do not use mailbox contents to build advertising profiles or target ads.
Email travels between independent providers. Recipients and their providers may retain or process messages under their own policies. The internet has many moving parts; we do not own all of them.
Who may receive information
Service providers involved in hosting, payments, and verification may receive information needed for their functions, subject to appropriate protections. We may also disclose information to comply with valid legal process, address credible threats, or protect users and infrastructure, as permitted or required by law.
Security and account access
We use reasonable technical and organizational security measures, including access controls, encrypted connections, updates, and abuse defenses. Every used storage drive we decommission is physically smashed and then ground into powder to reduce the risk of data recovery. No resale, no reuse, no second career for a drive that held customer data. We also attempt to run over retired servers with a steamroller when practical. That is an attempt, not a promise, and it is not a substitute for proper storage-media destruction. Physical destruction is one layer of protection, not a guarantee against every form of data loss or disclosure. No internet service can promise perfect security. Protect your password and devices, and tell us promptly about suspicious activity.
Retention, deletion, and backups
We retain information as needed to provide service, meet legal requirements, investigate abuse, and operate securely. All ID verification pictures are destroyed once verification is complete. We may retain the verification outcome and necessary non-image records for account administration, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. Retention periods for those records, logs, and deleted mail may vary according to operational needs and applicable law.
You are responsible for keeping your own independent backups. Account closure can make stored mail inaccessible or result in deletion under our retention practices.
