Terms of Service. Clear rules. No funny business.
Real email. Clear rules. A little attitude. These terms explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

The deal, minus the corporate fog
Inboxatron.Email provides hosted email services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree, please do not use the service. No hard feelings; the robots will survive.
Adults only. ID required.
You must be at least 18 years old to register for or use Inboxatron.Email. No accounts for minors, even with parental permission. By signing up, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement.
Age verification requires a photograph of a valid, government-issued photo ID. We may require additional verification if the image is unreadable or authenticity is in doubt. Verification must be completed before an account is activated or permitted to continue using the service. Do not send ID photographs through ordinary email; use only the secure submission process we provide.
Fake, altered, stolen, borrowed, or otherwise fraudulent IDs are prohibited. We may reject verification, immediately disable and permanently ban associated accounts, and report suspected identity-document fraud to appropriate authorities where lawful and warranted. We will not accuse or report someone merely because an image is blurry or verification fails; mistakes can be reviewed by contacting help@inboxatron.email. Fake IDs belong in bad movies, not our signup queue.
You must provide accurate account and billing information, protect your login credentials, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. We destroy all ID verification pictures after verification is complete. We may keep the verification result and necessary non-image records as described in our Privacy Policy.
U.S. citizens only. No exceptions by geography.
Inboxatron.Email accounts are available only to United States citizens who are at least 18 years old. You must truthfully confirm your U.S. citizenship during registration and provide the documentation requested through our secure verification process. Living in the United States, having a U.S. mailing address, or holding a visa or green card does not by itself satisfy this citizenship requirement. We may decline, suspend, or terminate accounts that do not meet the eligibility rules, subject to applicable law.
We may use reasonable verification measures and offer a review process for errors. Never send identity documents to ordinary support email. Citizenship documentation can contain sensitive information, so we destroy all submitted ID verification pictures after verification is complete; see our Privacy Policy for other verification data practices. No citizenship guessing based on your IP address or your favorite baseball team.
Humans only. No bots or AI agents.
Each account must belong to a real, verified human who personally controls it. Automated account creation, bot-operated accounts, scripted signups, and use of AI agents or autonomous software to access, monitor, read, compose, send, respond to, or otherwise operate a mailbox are prohibited. You may not give an AI agent account credentials, app passwords, OAuth access, or delegated access to the service. We may challenge, restrict, suspend, or disable accounts that appear to violate this rule, with review available for false positives.
Normal IMAP and SMTP mail clients are welcome when a human is behind the account. Desktop and mobile email apps may automatically synchronize folders, check for new messages, download mail, send user-composed messages, and perform routine client functions. Accessibility tools, spam filters, and ordinary client-side rules are also allowed. This clause does not ban those features or routine server-to-server mail delivery. Human-operated IMAP and SMTP clients are welcome; AI assistants and agents, even when initiated or supervised by a human, may not connect to or operate an account. What we do not allow is a mailbox operated by a bot, AI agent, mass-mailing engine, or automated abuse machine. If your toaster wants an inbox, tell it to get a human.
Usernames are one-and-done. Eww.
Once a username or Inboxatron.Email mailbox address has been assigned, it will never be reassigned to a different customer. This applies even if the account is canceled, suspended, deleted, or permanently banned. Reusing an old address risks sending someone else's messages to a stranger. That's not recycling; that's gross.
We may permanently reserve retired usernames and addresses to prevent impersonation, misdirected email, and account-takeover confusion. An existing customer is not guaranteed restoration of a retired address. This policy concerns addresses we issue under our own domains; it does not prevent an owner of a custom domain from managing addresses on their own domain, subject to applicable terms.
What we provide (and what we do not)
We provide email hosting, including sending, receiving, and storing messages, subject to the features of your plan. We are not promising calendars, document editing, permanent archiving, or that every message will arrive. Email is a federation of independent systems, not a magical pneumatic tube.
The $50 spammer fee. Yes, really.
We charge a $50 spammer fee for accounts confirmed to have used Inboxatron.Email to send prohibited spam. This is an abuse-related charge, separate from normal subscription fees. By using the service, you agree that a confirmed violation of our no-spam policy may result in this charge, where permitted by applicable law and disclosed as part of your account agreement.
We review relevant evidence before assessing the fee, and you may dispute a determination by contacting help@inboxatron.email. The fee does not buy permission to spam, does not replace suspension or termination, and is not automatically imposed on innocent recipients of unwanted mail. We reserve the right to waive a charge or reverse one assessed in error.
Fifty dollars is not an all-you-can-spam buffet. Your account can still be shown the exit.
NO SPAMMERS. Seriously.
Spam accounts get disabled. Do not send unsolicited bulk or commercial email, phishing, malware, scams, fraudulent messages, forged or deceptive headers, or messages that violate applicable anti-spam laws. Do not use purchased, scraped, harvested, or otherwise non-consensual mailing lists. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate others, or abuse our infrastructure. We may throttle, block outgoing mail, suspend access, or disable or terminate accounts without advance notice when we reasonably believe they are being used for spam, fraud, security threats, or other serious abuse. We may also block related domains, IPs, or signups as reasonably necessary to protect users and our network. Legitimate senders may contact help@inboxatron.email to request review. We are an email provider, not a spam cannon rental shop.
Acceptable use and security
Do not use our service to break laws, violate third-party rights, distribute malicious code, attack systems, evade rate limits or abuse controls, or interfere with other customers. You must maintain reasonable account security. We may apply filtering, rate limits, authentication requirements, and other protective controls to defend the service.
Terrorists are not welcome. Period.
Inboxatron.Email is not available for terrorist activity, terrorist organizations, or anyone using our service to support terrorism. We prohibit using any account to plan, finance, recruit for, threaten, promote, facilitate, or coordinate terrorist violence or other violent criminal activity. That includes fundraising, logistical support, operational communications, and distributing material intended to further violent acts.
Zero tolerance means zero tolerance. Where we reasonably suspect a serious violation, we may immediately disable the account, block related access, preserve relevant evidence, and report suspected unlawful conduct or credible threats to appropriate authorities as required or permitted by law. We will cooperate with lawful investigations. Legitimate journalism, research, and lawful discussion are not prohibited merely because they discuss terrorism.
If your plans involve terrorism, do not sign up. You are not welcome here. We provide email hosting, not a communications department for violent extremists. The exit is that way.
Deliverability: the internet gets a vote
We do not guarantee delivery, placement in an inbox rather than spam, specific delivery times, uninterrupted availability, or acceptance by other mail providers. Third-party systems, DNS, sender reputation, blocklists, recipient policies, and network failures can affect email. We may reject or quarantine suspicious traffic to protect users and the service.
Encrypted mail transport. No TLS, no delivery.
We require encrypted SMTP transport for incoming and outgoing mail. If a sending mail server cannot negotiate a TLS connection that meets our security requirements, we may refuse the connection or reject the message rather than accept it over an unencrypted channel. This includes mailing-list providers and bulk senders. Being on a mailing list is not an exemption from protecting mail in transit.
We cannot control the security practices of other email providers, and TLS protects transport between participating servers, not necessarily messages end to end. Messages may be delayed or rejected when a remote server cannot meet our requirements. If your fly-by-night mailing list thinks encryption is optional, your mail can stay on its side of the fence. We do not downgrade to plaintext just to make insecure senders happy.
Privacy, monitoring, and lawful requests
We do not sell your inbox contents for advertising. We may process message data and operational logs as needed to deliver email, detect abuse, maintain security, troubleshoot failures, and comply with applicable law, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We may preserve or disclose information when legally required or otherwise permitted by applicable law. We cannot promise absolute confidentiality or immunity from lawful process.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
Plan prices, billing intervals, and included features are those shown at checkout or in your account agreement. Applicable taxes or payment processing terms may apply. You authorize recurring charges when you select a subscription. You may cancel future renewal under the cancellation process provided with your plan. Unless applicable law or a stated refund policy requires otherwise, fees already paid are nonrefundable. We may suspend or end service for unpaid balances after any legally required notice.
Your email, your backups. Seriously.
You own your messages, and you are solely responsible for maintaining independent, current, and restorable backups of your email, attachments, contacts, and other account data. Inboxatron.Email does not provide a customer backup or disaster-recovery guarantee and is not responsible for creating, maintaining, testing, or restoring your backups. Any internal snapshots, redundancy, or operational copies we may maintain are for running our service and are not a substitute for your own backups.
Email can be lost, corrupted, delayed, deleted, or become inaccessible because of hardware or software failures, human error, account compromise, outages, security incidents, third-party problems, or account closure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume the risk of data loss and are responsible for exporting and preserving important messages before cancellation or termination. Access may end and data may be deleted under our retention practices and applicable law. If it matters, back it up somewhere you control. We are an email host, not your magical time machine.
Maintenance, changes, and outages
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, or operate the service. We will provide notice of material changes when required by law or when reasonably practicable. Scheduled maintenance, emergencies, upstream failures, and the occasional gremlin may interrupt service.
Acts of war. We do email, not geopolitics.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Inboxatron.Email is not responsible for delays, interruptions, service unavailability, or data loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of war, armed conflict, invasion, hostilities, military action, civil unrest, terrorism, sabotage, government orders, sanctions, or related disruptions to networks, power, infrastructure, suppliers, or communications.
We will take reasonable steps to protect our systems and restore service when practical, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted email delivery during such events. Nothing here excludes liability or obligations that cannot legally be limited, including liability for our own conduct where applicable law prohibits exclusion.
If tanks are rolling down the street, your inbox may not be our first operational priority. We sincerely hope that remains a hypothetical.
Use at your own risk. We do take security seriously.
You choose to store and transmit email using Inboxatron.Email at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted operation, perfect deliverability, or freedom from security incidents, errors, or data loss.
That does not mean we ignore security. We maintain reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to our service, including access controls, encrypted connections where supported and required by our configuration, security updates, and abuse monitoring. These measures reduce risk but do not eliminate it. We do not claim any particular certification or regulatory compliance standard unless we expressly identify it in writing. Nothing in these terms removes legal rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be waived. Security is a practice, not a force field.
Retired drives do not get a retirement party.
Every used storage drive we decommission gets smashed and then ground into powder to reduce the risk of recovering customer data. No resale, no reuse, and absolutely no secondhand drives with a mysterious past. This practice helps protect data on decommissioned media but does not guarantee against data loss, breaches, or other security incidents. You remain responsible for backing up your email.
We also attempt to run over retired servers with a steamroller when practical. Attempt is the operative word: availability, safety, logistics, and common sense may prevent the spectacle. This is a bit of hardware retirement theater, not a guaranteed sanitization method. Storage media is handled under the separate destruction process described above.
Limits on liability. No crystal ball included.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Inboxatron.Email and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost messages, lost attachments, lost data, business interruption, lost profits, reputational harm, or costs of recovering information, arising from use of or inability to use the service, even if advised of the possibility of such losses.
Where a monetary cap is enforceable, our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We do not disclaim liability that the law does not permit us to exclude or limit, including any applicable non-waivable consumer protections or liability for conduct that cannot legally be disclaimed. You take your chances parking email here; we still have to obey the law.
Responsibility for your actions
You are responsible for the content you send and the legality of your use. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify the service operator against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable expenses resulting from your unlawful use, your content, or material violations of these terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own wrongdoing.
Termination and appeals
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material violations, serious abuse, security threats, legal obligations, or nonpayment, subject to applicable law. For urgent abuse, including spam or phishing, action may be immediate. If you think we made a mistake, contact help@inboxatron.email. An appeal is not a guarantee of reinstatement.
Government requests, warrants, and customer privacy
No warrant? No voluntary disclosure.
At Inboxatron.Email, your private communications should remain private. Our policy is to require a valid judicial warrant before voluntarily disclosing customer email contents, subscriber information, account records, or available logs to government authorities, except where disclosure is otherwise required by law or permitted under a narrowly applicable legal exception.
We comply with applicable United States federal and Florida law, including the Stored Communications Act (18 U.S.C. §§ 2701–2713). Certain legally enforceable subpoenas, court orders, and other compulsory processes may require disclosure without a warrant. We review demands for validity, jurisdiction, scope, and applicable objections, and may challenge defective or overbroad demands where legally available.
Your inbox is not an open buffet.
We seek to limit disclosure to information lawfully required by valid legal process. We do not voluntarily expand a request simply because additional information would be convenient. A subpoena is not an unlimited shopping cart.
Customer notification within seven business days
Unless prohibited by applicable law, a valid nondisclosure order, or another binding legal restriction, we will notify affected customers within seven (7) business days after receiving government legal process seeking their account information. Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and applicable U.S. federal holidays. When legally permitted, we will identify the requesting authority, type of legal process, categories of information requested, and whether information has been disclosed. Notice does not necessarily mean information has already been disclosed.
If notification is legally prohibited, we will withhold it while the restriction remains in force. Once the restriction expires or is lifted, we will notify you within seven (7) business days after notice becomes legally permissible, unless another legal restriction applies. Notification may occur after disclosure when legal deadlines require it.
Emergencies and preservation requests
Federal law permits certain disclosures in genuine emergencies involving danger of death or serious physical injury. We evaluate such requests individually and may disclose information when authorized by applicable law; a bare assertion of urgency is not an automatic pass.
When legally required, including under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f), we preserve existing records or communications pending valid legal process. Preservation does not itself authorize disclosure. We cannot preserve records that no longer exist when a valid preservation obligation begins.
Federal and Florida law
We follow applicable United States federal and Florida law. We scrutinize the paperwork, respect lawful judicial authority, and do not provide complimentary access to your inbox.
Legal details and changes
If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may revise these terms and will give notice of material changes where required. Continued use after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law: The Free State of Florida
Inboxatron.email is bound by applicable United States federal law and Florida state law. We operate our business in accordance with both. These Terms of Service are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where controlling federal law or other non-waivable law applies. Federal law takes precedence where applicable.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes concerning these terms or the service shall be brought in the state or federal courts with jurisdiction in Pinellas County, Florida, and the parties consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Nothing in this provision limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived, or overrides mandatory jurisdiction or venue requirements.
We call it the Free State of Florida. The courthouse calls it Florida. Either way, the law still applies. Sunshine is not a legal defense.
